Lighthouse Academy
Training the next generation for Christ one child at a time. The families of the Gospel Lighthouse Church desired a quality Christian education for their children. After much prayer, Lighthouse Academy opened its doors in August of 1988. The academy has been such a blessing to many in the community. Students are loved, nurtured and challenged to become the best they can be for Jesus! The alumni of Lighthouse Academy are leaders in their corners of the world. Former graduates are now working as teachers, professors, nurses, management, sales, beauticians, military, coaches and some are in the ministry. Most are leaders in their local church. While all have not stayed in Floyd, each have taken a little “piece” of Floyd with them, spreading "SON"shine wherever they go. Lighthouse Academy has proven Christian education doesn't cost - it pays! One of Lighthouse Academy's objectives has always been teaching each child how to live for Jesus by implementing biblical principles in their lives. Our hopes are for each of the students of Lighthouse Academy to become a productive citizen in their communities. We thank God for the fruit of Christian education.
