Meet Mrs. Rebekah Zeiset
Hello! My name is Rebekah Zeiset, and I am excited to join the Lighthouse Academy family as one of its newest teachers.

I am a 35-year-old college student currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and plan to graduate in 2029. Returning to school has been a rewarding experience and has strengthened my passion for teaching and investing in the lives of children.

I have been happily married for 15 years and am blessed to be the mother of four wonderful children. Being a wife and mother is one of my greatest joys and the role I treasure most.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading a good novel, spending time with friends and family, cooking, shopping, and trying new restaurants. While I am not a fitness enthusiast, you may occasionally find me at the gym or participating in a local 5K. I also have a love for fashion and shoes, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with people from all walks of life.

I believe life is meant to be lived fully and gratefully, embracing the people and opportunities God places in our path. Most importantly, I give all glory and honor to the Lord for every blessing in my life and for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. He has saved me, set me free, and blessed me beyond measure, and for that I will always be grateful.

I look forward to partnering with Lighthouse Academy families as we encourage students to grow academically, spiritually, and personally in a Christ-centered environment.

Meet Mrs. Chris Newman

Hello! My name is Chris Newman, and I have been blessed to teach at Lighthouse Academy since 1999. Over the years, it has been a joy to invest in the lives of students and watch them learn, grow, and develop both academically and spiritually.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana, and I continue to love the privilege of teaching and working with children each day.

My husband, Charlie, is a retired banker, and together we have three grown children and ten wonderful grandchildren who bring so much joy to our lives.

When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me enjoying the simple things I love most—homemaking, spending time with my grands, thrifting, gardening, walking, or curling up with a good book.

I am thankful to be part of the Lighthouse Academy family and look forward to another exciting year of learning and growing together.
