I am sooooo glad that I didn't have my make-up on before I read The "Dear John" Letter. I couldn't stop crying for I know what a miracle it is to receive a kidney from a special person. My husband, Greg, is alive today because someone was generous and gave his kidney after he passed. What an awesome testimony. Thank you for sharing it on your site. I love you all and hope to get to know you better in the years to come.

news update on brock. went to the ent surgeon yesturday. he is concerned about broch. his airway is 99% blocked and his tonsillar hypertrophy has got pretty advanced. he is going nuts at home. he misses the kids and staff so much. we are very glad that God told me to keep him home away from others. he is very contagious to others with weak immune systems. the last thing in this world he wanted was to get his favorite pastor sick. he goes through surgery thursday between 8 and noon. please lift him up. he will hopefully be back to school after christmas break. to the boys basketball team; he misses you all the most. thanks to all you amazing young men for be friending him. that is something he has never had before, and bless every one of you for being who you are. i will be forever greatful. i will give another update after his operation, and he hopes to be able to be well enough to come watch the program sunday night. you children at the academy; my heart holds a place for each and every one of you. you and Jesus complete my kids who were very lost when they came to you. God bless His children. darci

I have just spent a very interesting hour reading the Lighthouse blog it was so nice to be able to see all the photo's ect. I do have a big interest in the Acadmy , my great grandchildren are all students there and they have really come a long way. I am so grateful to the Lighthouse for the change in the life of my Grandson and his dear little wife. Jesus has worked a great miracle for our Family. To God I give the Glory. Dorothy Kemp

Hey Guys, Be sure to look for the Coffee Lady tab and click on it so you can see our favorite coffee gal prepared to serve the fans of the 2008 Floyd Gospel Sing.

Love you much Auntie Lo,

The Gospel Sing is over for another year. (Except for a few hundred pop cans to turn in) I had a great time! I loved meeting the "new" groups and hearing them sing. I loved seeing the regulars return and sing for us. They have become part of our family. Everyone had such enthusiasm. Even the rain didn't seem to dampen our spirits. Of course, some of us got a bit wet, but it was of our own choosing.

Remember to pray for sunshine September 10th and 11th of 2009!

I was so glad to see some of my friends from Grafton! I hope the sing was all you expected it to be.

A big THANKS to all the workers!! It was two long days of work for many (4 days if you count preparation and clean up).

Sunday, my legs told me that I had better log a few miles during the year before I do another 2 day 10 hour marathon. I walked alot carrying coffee, water, pop ice and more. I enjoyed every minute of it. I didn't even drink one cup of coffee.! I will make up for that today.

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!

P S : Any contribution of pop cans will be appreciated. It will give us a start for next year.

Hey Everyone, That was the most emotional Wedding I have ever been too. And at the same time, very beutiful. Now just one more hurdle for Paul and Dixie, their baby girl, Libby will be leaving for college this week. Pray for their "emotional parent's hearts".
