The 2020 Floyd Gospel is cancelled. We are now planning for the 2021 Floyd Gospel Sing, which will be September 10 & 11th. Please make plans to attend.

Dear Friends and Fans of the Floyd Gospel Sing,

For the past several months…. Dixie and I, and our church have been praying and trying to navigate the 2020 Floyd Gospel Sing through these unprecedented waters due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have been in communication with the State Food Inspector learning the new protocols for food safety. We have studied the guidelines for six-foot social distancing, sanitizing and cleaning and we have talked to the Floyd County Public Health Director. We hoped we could move forward and have the 2020 Sing, but it is with much sadness after the governor’s mandate and the State of Iowa public health directives, that we cannot in good faith move forward with this year’s Floyd Gospel Sing. (Some of the churches haven’t even opened yet to host groups on the Sunday following the Sing.) As we prayed and explored all options, it was clear we had to cancel.

We will now shift our direction to working toward the 2021 Floyd Gospel Sing, which will be held September 10 and 11, 2021.
